About Yael Yael Deckelbaum, is an award- winning Israeli/Canadian singer/songwriter and activist. In 2016, Yael was asked to sing her powerful, soul-stirring music in the“March Of Hope” that united thousands of Israeli and Palestinian women as well as figures like nobel peace prize winner Leymah Gbowee. Organized by “Women Wage Peace”, the groundbreaking event was a revolutionary moment for Yael. Her song and video, “Prayer Of The Mothers,” documenting that “March of Hope” went viral on social media in 2017. Shared by millions , inspiring women across the globe to unite and take action. Since then, Yael has led marches all over the world with thousands ofwomen from all walks of life who come from different backgrounds and various faiths.Inspired by the international women’s movements, Yael wrote more songs, and recorded a whole new album dedicated to the global outburst of the international women’s movement. On March 8th 2020 the theme song “Women of the World Unite” was released. The full album is set to be released later this year, featuring singers such as Joss Stone, Zap Mama, Amyra León and more… Yael is also a founding member of legendary female trio Habanot Nechama, has performed on the same stage with Sir George Martin, Suzanne Vega, Chris Cornell, Livingston Taylor, Tom Chaplin, BobbyMcFerrin, Matisyahu, Gregory Porter. She has released 4 solo albums and participated in several influential albums within Israel. Three of her songs have been featured on the internationally acclaimed Showtime TV series “The L Word”.
